Training with the stars: Great atmosphere at Weltklasse Zürich kids’ events - despite rainy weather
1500 children and teenagers had won a ticket for a special training session with the stars of Weltklasse Zürich. Yesterday, the young talents finally met with their illustrious coaches to practise their running, jumping and throwing skills at the Wiesacher sports ground in Regensdorf near Zurich and in 10 other Swiss cities and towns. Even the steady rain could not dampen their enthusiasm or ruin the happy atmosphere of the events.

Das Leichtathletik-Meeting Weltklasse Zürich wird am Donnerstag im ausverkauften, mit 25‘000 Zuschauern besetzten Letzigrund-Stadion zur ganz grossen Leichtathletik-Gala. Nicht weniger als 17 Einzel-Goldmedaillengewinner der Weltmeisterschaften von Moskau stehen auf der Startliste. Im hochkarätigen Teilnehmerfeld befinden sich zudem 17 Jahresweltbeste, 15 Olympiasieger von London und 5 aktuelle Weltrekordhalter.
Lernen bei der Sprintqueen: Gute Stimmung trotz Regen bei „Jugend trainiert mit Weltklasse“
Auf der Sportanlage Wiesacher in Regensdorf und weiteren 10 Orten herrschte Hochbetrieb. 1500 Kinder und Jugendliche sprangen, hüpften, rannten oder warfen unter Anleitung von Leichtathleten der Weltelite. Sie waren die Glücklichen, die ausgelost wurden, mit den Stars von Weltklasse Zürich zu trainieren. Und so konnte selbst der Dauerregen ihre Begeisterung nicht mindern.
