Inspiring athletes – and a successful world premiere
The Weltklasse Zürich Inspiration Games did what seemed impossible this summer: They provided top athletics stars with an international stage and brought them back to TV screens. Even though the competitors of the unusual meeting were separated by thousands of miles, they participated in a unique live experience: Eight events in seven arenas and various countries on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean. The fascinating TV stage was provided by the official broadcaster SRG SSR. And the leading sports timekeepers Swiss Timing launched the competitions by providing starting signals. The athletes, in turn, used the Wanda Diamond League exhibition event as a platform to inspire TV viewers around the world in these extraordinary times.
