Weltklasse Zürich returns to Zurich Main Station – and in spectacular fashion. On 26 August 2026, the international pole vault elite, led by Swiss European Champion Angelica Moser, will take center stage in the iconic Wanner Hall. Joining Moser on the runway are Katie Moon, Nina Kennedy, Sandi Morris and Tina Šutej – five athletes who have shaped the global pole vault scene for years.
Sold-Out Grandstand – Weltklasse Zürich Comes to You
Weltklasse Zürich is synonymous with records – and that is reflected in ticket sales as well. The grandstands at Zurich Main Station sold out within a very short time. However, the Weltklasse atmosphere remains accessible to everyone: numerous free standing-room areas will be available around the venue.
Bringing world-class athletics directly to where thousands of people meet every day is a deliberate part of Weltklasse Zürich’s vision. This makes top-level athletics accessible to everyone – right in the heart of Zurich. Few events allow spectators to get as close to Olympic champions, world champions and record-breakers as Weltklasse Zürich at Zurich Main Station. A truly unique setting.
Olympic Champions, World Champions and Crowd Favorites
The field is headed by Katie Moon (USA). The Tokyo 2021 Olympic Champion and reigning World Champion arrives in Zurich as the defending champion of both Weltklasse Zürich and the Wanda Diamond League. For years, she has been among the most consistent athletes in the discipline.

Moon will once again face Nina Kennedy (AUS), who returns to what she describes as her favorite competition venue after missing last year through injury. The charismatic Paris 2024 Olympic Champion has already won Weltklasse Zürich three times and will be aiming for another victory with her explosive and emotional style of jumping.

Swiss European Champion Against the Rest of the World
From a Swiss perspective, all eyes will be on Angelica Moser. The European Champion and Swiss record holder has firmly established herself among the world’s elite. Competing in front of a home crowd, the athlete from LC Zürich will be determined to create another career highlight in the heart of Switzerland’s largest city.

The high-caliber field is completed by Sandi Morris (USA) and Tina Šutej (SLO). Having cleared the five-meter mark, Morris is one of the most successful pole vaulters of her generation, boasting numerous medals from Olympic Games, World Championships and World Indoor Championships. Meanwhile, World Championship silver medalist and Olympic bronze medalist Šutej has impressed for years with her consistency at the highest level and is regularly among the medal contenders at major international championships.

World-Class Athletics in the Heart of Zurich
Two Olympic champions, four World Championship titles, two World Indoor Championship titles and multiple European Championship titles: the pole vault field assembled for Weltklasse Zürich at Zurich Main Station features some of the most successful athletes of their generation.
Numerous additional Olympic, World Championship and European Championship medals further underline the exceptional quality of the field. With personal bests well beyond the 4.80-metre mark, these athletes represent the very highest standard of pole vaulting – right in the center of Zurich.
The stage is set for a spectacular evening of pole vaulting at Zurich Main Station. Anyone passing through the station on 26 August will not only encounter commuters, but also the world’s very best female pole vaulters.
