Weltklasse Zürich live

Sports fans around the world can enjoy live coverage of Weltklasse Zürich. In Switzerland, the meeting at the legendary Letzigrund stadium can be seen live on SRF 2 from 7:30pm on 30 August. The pole vault competition at "Weltklasse Zürich im Hauptbahnhof" will be broadcasted live without geo-blocking and thus receivable worldwide on srf.ch/sport from 6:25pm.

This year’s additional offer is more extensive than ever before. For the first time, Weltklasse Zürich uses its own channels for live broadcasts throughout the week. Starting on Monday (August 27), Facebook and Instagram will be offering exclusive insights that can’t be seen anywhere else.

Colin Jackson

The former hurdle sprinter was one of the world’s best sprinters from the late 1980s until the new millennium. To this day, the four-time European champion is still holding the European record at 110m hurdles (12.91). Further impressive titles in his CV: world champion 1993 and 1999 as well as Indoor world champion 1999. In 1994 he regained his title at 60m hurdles won in 1989 at the European Indoor Championships in Paris and also won at the 60m flat sprint. He has been a presenter and commentator for the British TV station BBC for several years. Already in 2017 he hosted the Media Conference at Weltklasse Zürich. He will take over this task again on August 29, 2018.

Alexandra Wester

The 24-year-old long jumper is an active top athlete and recently has participated at the European Athletics Championships in Berlin. Her best performance is at a remarkable 6.95 metres indoor. In the same year, the 2016 Olympic competitor was sixth at the World Indoor Championships and seventh at the European Championships in Amsterdam. The former German indoor champion is also known as a model. She is currently to see in the advertising campaign of a large online mail order company for shoes and fashion.
