On 1 September 2016, Weltklasse Zürich will again host one of two IAAF Diamond League final events. The 16 Diamond Races to be decided at Letzigrund Stadium have now been determined.

Events for 2016 Zurich Diamond League Final Event Determined

As in the past, 32 Diamond Trophies will be awarded in Zurich and Brussels. The four Swiss stars, Selina Büchel (800m), Mujinga Kambundji (200m), Noemi Zbären (100m h), and Kariem Hussein (400m), will all run their final leg of the Diamond Race in front of their home crowd. In addition, the men’s 100m final will be part of the Weltklasse Zürich programme of events.

The traditional Zurich Trophy – a women’s 4x100m relay race – will again be one of the Weltklasse Zürich highlights. Other additional events may be added at a later stage.

IAAF Diamond League finals at Weltklasse Zürich on 1 September 2016:

Men: 100m, 400m, 3000m or 5000m, 400m h, pole vault, triple jump, shot put, javelin throw

Women: 200m, 800m, 1500m, 3000m SC, 100m h, high jump, long jump, discus throw
