The ticket sale for Weltklasse Zürich on Sechseläutenplatz (27 August) is the latest evidence for the enormous interest Weltklasse Zürich events attract. Just minutes after tickets went on sale, all seats in the arena were already sold. The overwhelming demand underlines the status of Weltklasse Zürich and highlights the ongoing enthusiasm in Switzerland’s athletics community and for the sport in general.
«Being able to let the magic of Weltklasse Zürich happen in the heart of the city is extremely appealing. And the fact that all seats were sold almost immediately shows just how much people are looking forward to this very special event that will feature the best athletes in the world,» said Co-Meeting Director Andreas Hediger.
An event for everyone and a free opportunity to be close to the action
Even fans who did not manage to secure a ticket can be part of the extraordinary athletics experience on Sechseläutenplatz. Visitors can access all standing areas surrounding the competition sites free of charge and watch from up close when the world’s best athletes compete in their Wanda Diamond League final event. The stars will fly high in the pole vault and high jump, catapult themselves far into the long jump pit, and launch their shots in the shot put, all of them determined to win a Diamond Trophy.

Two days of Weltklasse Zürich, two records already
With today’s record ticket sale, Weltklasse Zürich adds another chapter to its success story. The ticket presale for the second meeting day at Letzigrund Stadium on 28 August 2025 had already made headlines. Within just two hours, all tickets for the traditional main event were sold, faster than in any other year in the history of the meeting. Thus, months before the 2025 edition goes underway, Weltklasse Zürich is sold out on both days
Zurich becomes a Weltklasse Zürich stage
On 27 and 28 August, the city on the Limmat will be all about international athletics. The Sechseläutenplatz will be transformed into an urban sports arena and will host a magical show on Wednesday. And on Thursday, the second part of the Wanda Diamond League Final will be held at Letzigrund Stadium. Two memorable athletics nights, filled with emotions and stunning performances, accompanied by the unique soundtrack of the Weltklasse Zürich crowd cheering.
