A run-up, a takeoff \u2013 and then time seemed to stand still for just a moment at Zurich Main Station. 3000 spectators watched the spectacular acrobatics skills the world\u2019s best vaulters presented at the height of almost 5 metres, and they rewarded the performances with thunderous applause. What a comeback for Weltklasse Z\u00fcrich at Zurich Main Station!<\/p>\n

A high flyer both on Sechsel\u00e4utenplatz and at Zurich Main Station<\/strong><\/p>\n

Nina Kennedy is flying high this summer. After taking the world championship title and sharing the gold medal with Katie Moon (USA) a few days ago, she continued her impressive airshow at Zurich Main Station today. Dominating the competition, she was the only one to clear 4.91m. The result not only represented a new personal best but also a new Oceanian indoor record. And what is more: Kennedy managed to repeat her triumph of last year, when she won the competition on Sechsel\u00e4utenplatz.<\/p>\n

Kennedy was quite happy with her performance. \u201cI was really surprised at how high I was jumping today,\u201d she said. \u201cI thought that 4.80m or 4.85m were possible. But I didn\u2019t think that I could go as high as 4.90m. I am so happy! I love Zurich!\u201d<\/p>\n

Like in Budapest, her sparring partner and therefore essential for the impressive level of the competition was Katie Moon. \u201cKatie really pushed me today,\u201d Kennedy explained. In the end, Moon cleared 4.81m and placed second. Sandi Morris (USA), who fans also know for performing the Weltklasse Z\u00fcrich song \u201cSouvenir\u201d, was able to make up for her disappointing result at the world championships by placing third tonight (4.76m).<\/p>\n

Angelica Moser within touching distance of the world\u2019s best pole vaulters<\/strong><\/p>\n

Prior to today\u2019s event at Zurich Main Station, Angelica Moser had mentioned that she was having fun at pole vault competitions again and was benefitting from a new confidence. Both factors became evident when the local hero actually appeared in front of her excited home crowd today. And when she managed to clear 4.66m in her second attempt, people erupted into cheers. Moser thanked her fans after finishing the competition in fourth place. \u201cThe crowd really lifted me up today.
