Weltklasse Zürich is delighted to welcome you at its two 2021 meetings. The COVID-19 guidelines below have been compiled to ensure the safety of visitors, athletes and staff. They also enable us to comply with regulations and recommendations issued by federal, cantonal or local authorities, and to meet all requirements to stage the two events.
Only individuals who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, have recently tested negative for COVID-19, or who have confirmation that they have fully recovered from COVID-19 will have access to Weltklasse Zurich venues. Persons under the age of 16 are exempt from this requirement. Visitors, athletes, volunteers, and all members of staff require a valid COVID certificate to access Weltklasse Zürich venues and locations. Certificates will be accepted only in combination with a valid identification document.
Certificates to be presented can either be a Swiss COVID certificate or a digital EU COVID certificate. International guests who do not have an EU COVID certificate must get tested at an official testing location in Switzerland in order to obtain a Swiss COVID certificate. Tests are provided at various pharmacies as well as at the Triemli test center.
COVID certificates are issued to individuals who meet the following conditions:
- proof of a complete COVID-19 vaccination;
- a negative COVID-19 PCR test that is not older than 72 hours;
- a negative COVID-19 antigen test that is not older than 48 hours;
- evidence of sufficient antibodies as a result of a COVID-19 recovery that dates back to no more than 180 days.
If you have been vaccinated against COVID-19, your vaccination must be more recent than 365 days (calculated on the basis of the date you received your last dose). You will be considered recovered from COVID-19 from day 11 following a positive PCR test result or until 180 days after the positive test result.

Every visitor must provide the following documents at the venue entrances:
- COVID certificate
- identity card, passport or driver's license
Please make sure that the identification document has not expired. Only valid documents will be accepted.
We recommend arriving early, as checks at the entrance will take a little longer and could cause waits.
COVID certificate information is stored in the form of a QR code, which can be presented digitally as a PDF or printed out on paper. There is also an official app in which the certificate can be saved and presented. The free App can be downloaded from the App Store or Play Store. Any certificate is accepted together with an official identification document only.
In Switzerland, rapid antigen tests (valid 48 hours) or PCR tests (valid 72 hours) are accepted for a COVID certificate.
Self-testing at home is not sufficient to obtain a COVID certificate. Tests must be performed by a healthcare professional who will also issue the respective certificates.
By getting tested by a healthcare professional who then issues a COVID certificate. You will receive the certificate either digitally via email, or it will be sent directly into the "COVID Certificate" app. Please visit the website of the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH) for details and further information.
For access to the Letzigrund stadium on the day of the competition, we offer on-site test capacities on 9 September. No appointments can be made in advance. You must present your ticket and identification on site.
Unfortunately, we are unable to provide testing facilities for the spectator area at Sechseläutenplatz on 8 September.

Children and adolescents up to 16 years of age can access Weltklasse Zürich locations without a COVID certificate, and need no tests. Please bring an official identification document that lists their age.
Wearing of masks
Weltklasse Zürich recommends wearing a mask whenever possible to minimize the small residual risk of an infection.
Frequent, thorough hand washing with soap and water is one of the best ways to prevent the spread of infectious diseases, including COVID-19. The venues will ensure that washing facilities with soap and water are available.
If it is not possible to wash hands regularly with soap and water, they should be disinfected with hand sanitizer. Hand sanitizer stations will be located at entrances and exits, restrooms, tables, catering areas, and various common areas.
Cleaning of facilities
The frequency of cleaning and disinfecting of the facilities at the venues, especially frequently touched surfaces and items, will be increased. Such facilities include, but are not limited to, restrooms, counters, entrance and exit areas, door handles and banisters.
Once again this year, numerous food stands at Letzigrund Stadium will provide gastronomic delights. When queuing, legal requirements about keeping distance apply.
If you have also purchased an Allianz Assistance ticket insurance when you bought your ticket, you can check directly with Allianz whether your ticket will be refunded. If no ticket insurance was purchased, the ticket will not be refunded.
In case of a severe deterioration of the epidemiological situation, the organizing committee reserves the right to cancel both events at short notice. In this case, the full ticket price will be refunded, or tickets will remain valid for the event in the following year.
